Cheona Metals was formed to help Indigenous peoples achieve social and economic independence through the exercise of their inherent rights and title to mineral resources in their ancestral lands. Working with its partner First Tellurium Corp., Cheona explores for minerals in Indigenous territories of British Columbia and Yukon Territory while working with government, NGO, Indigenous and private interests to rehabilitate mining sites that affect salmon and wildlife habitat.

Cheona Metals has partnered with Washington, DC-based RESOLVE, one of the world’s leading social and environmental organizations, to support the first Yukon placer mine restoration under the Salmon GoldTM label. Cheona’s agreement with RESOLVE is to search for and identify sites eligible to participate in mining and restoration under the Salmon Gold program. Gold produced under the agreement will be purchased by Apple and Tiffany as part of a responsible gold initiative.
Allen's recent work with RESOLVE, Apple and Tiffany was featured in Apple's Supplier Responsibility Report for 2020. Download or view the chapter about Allen below. To see Apple's full report, click here.
